Presidential Election 2008 Update: A last chance, secret meetings, a surrender, and two final nominees - Oh the MADNESS!

Well nation, the United States 2008 Presidential Election is finally nearing to a close as the final primaries in North and South Dakota end, and Democratic hopeful Sen. Hillary Clinton throwing in the towel guaranteeing Republican senator John McCain, and Democratic senator Barack Obama a shot at the White House. With the presidential primaries in North and South Dakota having ended, Barack Obama already had enough delegates to secure his nomination, while senator Clinton was a few delegates behind. Hillary needed to win North and South Dakota to get a spot on the ballot, but unfortunately for her, she couldn’t rack up enough delegates to secure her nomination. The very next night after these two primaries, Sen. Clinton arranged a secret meeting at Dianne Feinstein’s house, who also happens to be a senator, with Barack Obama. That evening, as Sen. Feinstein told the news reports, “They sat down by the fire place, I gave them water, and I went upstairs to my office to finish my work. It was only the two of them, no guards, no aides, no one. They said goodbye to me when they finished, and left my house laughing.” Many news reports and political analysts agree that they were discussing the possibility of Hillary being Obama’s running mate. I personally agree with this theory, as Hillary Clinton was talking about “simple diplomacy” meaning that her and Obama may merge together as one in the presidential election. On June 7th, Hillary Clinton addressed a speech to the entire nation, saying “It has been a long and hard race…and I am officially suspending my campaign for the President of the United States of America.” At the end of the speech, Hillary Clinton announced that she would start endorsing Barack Obama’s campaign and asked the democratic party to vote for Barack Obama for “simple diplomacy”. Now as this very important piece of history has unfolded before our very eyes, many of us are wondering “Where will this election end up?” Well, I believe that first, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and John McCain deserve a round of applause (despite their sex, color, or party) because they have all had the guts to stay in the race this far, they have survived one of the greatest “dog fights” that I think America has seen in decades. I also think that all of the publicity that the election has gained, will suddenly slow down, or come to a screeching halt. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are very popular political figures, not only because of their cultural and historical differences (this pertaining to the US presidency, as all presidents have been white men), but also because of the fight that they put up, that is what really intrigued America, that a Black man, and a White woman were taking a chance of becoming president of the United States. I now believe that since Hillary has dropped out, CNN, Fox News, CBS, and America itself, will grow less interested in the race and just stop tuning in. They probably won’t grow very interested, until that ACTUAL election in November. I personally am growing slightly dis-parted from the election because that connection between Obama and Clinton just isn’t there anymore. But rest assured, I will always be here to give you the news that really matters. Gas Prices on the rise; and how the big “dubya” is profitting from it.

Gas analysts predict that gas prices will reach $7.00 a gallon by the end of July. Many Americans are feeling the full force of the oil industry as gas prices reach $4, and beyond. As of today (5-28-08) the cheapest gas prices are in Tuscon, Arizona, at $3.89 a gallon. This is really starting to affect many Americans, as some have to stop riding cars to school and work, cutting short or even discontinuing their vacation plans due to the high gas prices. The U.S. senate has recently held several hearings with the CEOs and vice presidents of major oil corporations such as Exxon Mobil, and BP. The senate passed a bill to President Bush, which will force U.S. oil companies to lower their selling prices. The president plans to veto (or decline) the bill, which will make the bill of NOuse! But why?, isn’t the president supposed to be helping us instead of turning us into the next Russia? (NO PUN INTENDED). Well, the sad but real truth is that George “Dubya” Bush is an oil baron himself! This means that he buys and deals oil for his own personal profit. He has been doing this since he was the governor of Texas. Let me ask you this, Why do you think he has been do interested in oil in the first place? Why do you think he’s REALLY been doing in Iraq, Iran, and Saudi Arabia? I’ll tell you know, “it ain’t sniffin’ out any Weapons of Mass Destruction” as Senator Nancy Pelosi said recently. These countries are the top three oil producers in the WORLD!  As the U.S. is running out of resources from these countries such as oil, Dubya is going to the countries in the Middle East to literally BEG for oil. Did you know that in the Gulf of Mexico, and along the Southern Coast, we (The U.S.) have over 10,000 oil wells saved up for special resources. But, unfortunately for us, our dumbfounded president, does not want to use these resources. These special resources are supposed to be used at a time of need, and if you ask me, this IS a time of need. I believe that if Dubya used these oil resources NOW, our gas prices would drop drastically, not only helping the working class, but helping out economy (which happens to be in debt with approximately 43 TRILLION dollars). So, technically if Bush was to pass the bill, he would be losing profit, that doesn’t go within 10 feet of the government, it goes straight into his pocket. Now, we all have to agree, with the famous words that the great Uncle Sam gave to us “United we stand, divided we fall”, Currently , we are divided, and we are very close to falling, so please, so our great country can become as close as it can to be a democracy, write to your government, petition, do what ever you can to make our government lower the gas prices. I also ask you to support all of the senators who are trying to help us (not only the adults, but todays teens, the next generation) with having a better economy for a better life in the future. Because of the way that our government is running, we are not a democracy, but a republic (hence the words in the Pledge of Allegiance “I pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the REPUBLIC for which it stands…). So, if you ask me, not only is Bush (in my opinion) one of the WORST presidents in the history of the U.S. Presidency, but he has been playing all of us (this means you, and I, and your parents, and all of the other hard working Americans who bust their butts all day, for nothing than a meager salary) for fools since the very beginning of his term, he has played us from the start, thinking of us as nothing more than idiots. California allows gays and lesbians to wed; many americans discriminate.

A conservative legal group asked the California Supreme Court on Thursday to put off finalization of its decision legalizing same-sex marriage until voters got a chance to weigh in. In court papers submitted late Thursday, a group called the “Alliance Defense Fund”, who is against gay marriages  warned that the state would suffer “great public harm and mischief” if it began allowing same-sex marriages on June 16, when the court’s decision would ordinarily become final.  Well nation, you may have heard all of the news that the states are trying to ban same-sex marriages. The truth is, we should NOT be discriminating against people based on their sexual orientation. If you really think about it, this is just like discriminating against people because of their skin color, or their ethnicity. In the case of skin color, race, religion, or sexual orientation, you CANT help it! You may be born white or black, mexican or cuban, Catholic or Mormon, Methodist or Baptist, gay or straight, bisexual or transgendered and all other points in between. You are born the way you are, and the fact is, you cant help it. Someone may be white, and may want to become a black person, they cant help it because this is how God made them. I think that discriminating and taking away the rights of these innocent people is disgustng and wrong. Gays and straights are ALL humans. They are ALL equal, and should not have their rights taken away. If you are an American citizen, you have many rights, but this shouldn’t be taken away due to what you believe in. Personally, I am not gay, but I know many people who are gay and lesbian, and some of them happen to be my friends. They are regular people, they are not weird, or perverted, or anything else that people may think of gays. THEY ARE regular people. Gay and Lesbian teens are all around us, and should be treated as individuals. Obama moves to brink of nomination, so whats up with the republican party?

Barack Obama stepped to the brink of victory in the Democratic presidential race Tuesday night, defeating Hillary Clinton in the Oregon primary and moving withing 100 delegates of the total needed to claim the prize at the party convention this summer. Well nation, as you already know, the current presidential race for the White House is currently underway, and is full of fierce competition. The three most popular candidates are Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and John McCain, (although I did want Stephen Colbert to run!). Now on the news, we hear more about the democratic party than the republicans. As I myself am a Democrat, the only reason that the democratic party is getting more attention is becasue of three reasons. Reson #1: The democratic race is one of the biggest ones we’ve seen in DECADES! There were many hopefuls with credentials such as governors, senators, and former first ladies. With this diverse mixture of occupations and rationality, you’ve got to know that the US will already be tuned in to their TV sets. Reason #2: The Democratic race is full of fierce, fierce competition. If you haven’t already noticed, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama may be pretty faces out in public, but deep inside, they want to tear each other apart. They say that they support each other, and only hope for the best, but quite frankly, they want their opponent to lose. I’m pretty sure that many Americans have noticed this already, and I’m pretty sure that his is the reason why the democrtaic race is being so closely monitered. The race is also a very, very tight one. The two major candidates (Clinton and Obama) are usually within a 50-delegate heat between each other. Finally, Reason #3: The democrats all have the necessary credentials. In this case, I mean that Hillary Clinton is a former first lady, and a very well respected senator in the capital. Barack Obama is also a very well respected senator, and has also passes many pro-life bills that appeal to many of the American’s wants and needs.  The republican party on the other hand is not being paid much attention to, because there is one candidate on the ballot, and he [John McCain] has basicaaly finished his campaigning. Global Warming News Flash and why Al Gore is WRONG.

 Al Gore

You may have seen those little commercials where poor polar bears, may soon become extinct due to lack of land, due to global warming (hey, they cant swim forever.) Well, you may also have heard or even seen, Al Gore’s documentary “An Inconvenient Truth” where he talks about today’s innovations ruining the ozone layer. Many people been taking his THEORY for granted and worshipping it as if it is the truth. PLEASE note that I capitalized THEORY. A THEORY is an educated guess to a hypothesis, it is NOT PROVEN. The reason I am saying this is because approximately 31,000 scientists (including more than 9,000 PhD’s in fields such as atmospheric science, Earth science, climatology, environmental science and everything in between) have denied Mr. Gore’s theory. Here is a quote from their [the scientists] report. “There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gases is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth’s atmosphere and disruption of the Earth’s climate,” the report states. “Moreover, there is substantial scientific evidence that increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide produce many beneficial effects upon the natural plant and animal environments of the Earth.”  There you have it, I believe that just because someone has the credentials (in Gore’s case, lots of money, former vice president, and one of Time magazine’s most influential people) really doesn’t cut it. If we let famous or powerful people stand in the way and make “false assumptions” in order to gain money, popularity, and the occasional Nobel Peace Prize, then we may never know the truth as to why things happen. So, in my opinion, we need to cut Al Gore out of the picture, and work with REAL scientists before Al Gore proposes that computers are alive and will attack you.  As always if you have any questions or comments pertaining to this, or any of the other blogs that I have, please feel free to type it up.

What is wrong with today’s teens?

You may have heard of the many crazy things that teens are doing today such as starting fires, shooting up schools, beating up peers and posting videos of the entire ordeal on sites like YouTube ans Myspace. It makes me and I’m sure a whole lot of teens think, “What is wrong with teens today?” It may be all of the political correctness, or the dialectical materialism such as all of the violence, sex, drugs, alcohol etc. that we see in our current TV programs and other points of media. Is this the point-source for all of this madness? I’m not saying that it is, but it may be a cause. If you think you know other causes of this craziness, please post your opinion to the blog so others can make up their own decisions.
